Dr. Clay Crossett

Dr. Crossett graduated from the University of Louisville in 1987. He spent 22 years as a commissioned officer in the United States Public Health Service, serving as a Dental Director of a Native Health Service program for 10 years. He has lived in Alaska most of his career and loves living in Alaska for the many outdoor opportunities and the incredible scenery.  He is an avid runner and has done many races including the Boston Marathon.  Dr. Crossett believes we are privileged to work with the residents of our facilities and is always delighted to converse with them and listen to their amazing stories from the past.  He enjoys interacting and being a team member with his co-workers while providing dental services for the residents.

Dr. Bridget DeYoung

Bridget DeYoung DDS, MA is our Prosthodontist at Healthy Smiles Forever, specializing in prosthetics of the mouth such as dentures, partials, and implants. Dr. DeYoung has been utilizing digital denture technology for the past decade allowing her to make all the records needed to fabricate digital dentures in as little as 2-3 appointments in the comfort of the patient’s residence. 

Dr. DeYoung earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. She completed her specialty certificate in Prosthodontics from the University of Connecticut Health Center.  She worked at SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium practicing prosthodontics and teaching Lutheran Medical Center Advanced Education General Dentistry residents for three years then moved to Anchorage where she worked at Southcentral Foundation practicing prosthodontics and as an attending for the Advanced General Practice Residency for seven years. She also completed a Masters of Arts Degree in Health Professions Education from the University of the Pacific. Dr. DeYoung is the prosthodontist at Healthy Smiles Forever and loves making teeth for all of our wonderful patients!

Dr. DeYoung enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, and two dogs. They have more hobbies and interests than they can keep up with, but, tend to spend their free time with friends, skiing, ice fishing, cross country skiing in the winter, and fishing, hiking, hunting, camping, and gardening in the summer. 

Dr. Kim Self, DDS

Alaska Center For Dentistry

Dr. Self was born and raised in a small town in Northeast Texas. She holds a degree in Biochemistry from Baylor University and received her doctorate from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX.

After spending two years practicing in Dallas, she and her husband, Dr. Jonathan Oudin, relocated to Barrow, AK where they worked on the North Slope for 3 years. In 2014, they headed south and now, with their two children, call Eagle River home.

Her favorite part of being a dentist is that she gets to meet so many people and hear their stories.
